Specific Need

For decades, our non-profit, licensed child development center has welcomed children from newborn to age 12 into a caring, growth-filled environment, complete with an integrated preschool that prepares them for lifelong success. Just steps away, our on-site historic community center, a cornerstone of the neighborhood since 1948 opens its doors for gatherings, celebrations, and programs that bring people together, strengthening the fabric of our community.

This Match Day, your support sustains the heartbeat of our mission. Funding will go toward both essential facility improvements ensuring classrooms remain safe, playgrounds secure, and community spaces welcoming and operational sustainability, so that we can continue providing quality programs, retain dedicated staff, and meet the growing needs of local families.

At our core, we are committed to providing high-quality early childhood education in a caring and nurturing environment for children from infancy through 12 years of age. Our licensed non-profit child development center offers holistic learning experiences, while our on-site community center creates a welcoming space for individuals and families to connect, grow, and engage in meaningful rural community activities and events. 

Profile

For nearly three decades, the NLC Youth Association has been more than a building. It’s been a safe, nurturing home where children grow, families connect, and our community thrives. Every year, more than 3,200 individuals step through our doors, finding care, encouragement, and a place to belong.

At our licensed child development center, children from newborn to 12 years old are welcomed into an environment filled with learning, laughter, and love. Our integrated preschool helps young learners take confident first steps toward school, while after-school programs provide a safe space for growth and exploration. Beyond our classrooms, the NLC Community Center opens its doors to the greater community, hosting events, celebrations, and activities that strengthen bonds and create lasting memories.

From replacing original single-pane windows to upgrading HVAC, electrical systems, restrooms and the commercial kitchen.
