How It Works

Emporia Area Match Day on Monday, November 13, 2023 holds incredible opportunity for nonprofit organizations within the greater Emporia area. On that day, your contributions will be matched on a prorated basis. To date, there will be $175,000 in matching funds from: the Antes Charitable Family Fund; the Clint Bowyer 79 Fund; the ECF Fund for the Future; the Emporia Masonic Lodge No. 12, A.F. & A.M.; Joyce French; the Gilpin Family Fund; the WS & EC Jones Testamentary Trust, Bank of America, N.A. Trustee; the Laurent Charitable Family Fund; the Fred and Paula Neuer Fund; the Preston Family Trust; Merry and Charles Rayl;  the Jane and Bernard Reeble Endowed Fund; and the Trusler Foundation.

Here’s how it works:

  • Donate online for 24 hours that day only. Donations may also be dropped off at the ECF Office that day from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

        Date:    Monday, November 13, 2023

        Time:    Online 24 hours

Web Address: www.emporiamatchday.com to donate online

  • The money earned by each non-profit group is an outright donation and may be used as they wish. Some may choose to put it in their fund with the Emporia Community Foundation for future use or they may choose to use it for day-to-day operating expenses.
  • Cash or check donations may be dropped off at the ECF Office the day of the event. Individuals are encouraged to visit the organization pages on the Match Day website to learn about their activities. When donating by check, please make one check payable to Emporia Community Foundation on one form and indicate which nonprofit(s) will benefit.
  • Credit card gifts will be made online. Simply sign in on this site and complete the form.

Every participating Match Day nonprofit organization has a fund with the Emporia Community Foundation. These funds are very beneficial for the future of non-profit organizations, but each one still faces monthly expenses. They still need contributions to their annual campaigns. Emporia Match Day is an opportunity to support their activities and enrich their programs for even greater impact for years to come.
