Specific Need
This year we will be honoring Barbara White Walker, who died in March. Barbara was the daughter of William Lindsay and Kathrine White, and the granddaughter of William Allen and Sallie White. It was Barbara who gifted Red Rocks to the citizens of Kansas in 2001. Match Day funds received this year will be used to repaint/update the Visitors Center, inside and outside. We also have plans to create a nice patio between the Visitors Center and the Mother's House, complete with picnic tables and an awning. And, we are still raising funds to renovate White's mother's house across the garden from Red Rocks, with the hope of someday turning it into a state-of-the-art Education Center.
